Cracking on printed paper showing a tear in the substrate .
The phenomenon of cracks or fractures that appear on the surface of printed board or paper. These cracks can appear if printed surface is scored or folded perpendicular to the grain direction. If a printed surface is folded or creased along the grain direction cracking most likely won’t be an issue.
Cracking can also appear on some paper stocks with deep embossing or debossing (regardless of the grain direction).
