Exposed or visible thread section sewn binding
This binding finishing is also known as an exposed spine. It is a niche binding style adopted by those producing books like artbooks and poetry. It has a rustic yet sophisticated feel. Sewn sections are themselves sewn together to form a sewn block. The cover can be included in the sewing as a sort of heavy signature. Or the cover can be manually glued to the first and last pages.
